Joe Trippi: Barack Obama Won It

Joe Trippi is the latest to weigh in on Howard Wolfson’s claim that Hillary Clinton would have won the nomination if John Edwards had been forced out of the race due to the Rielle Hunter scandal before the Iowa caucus. He concludes, “John Edwards didn’t lose it for Hillary Clinton. Believe it or not, Barack Obama won it.”

That last line, “Barack Obama won it”, is also an excellent response to many other ridiculous claims being made by Clinton supporters who continue to think that somehow Clinton was robbed of the nomination.

Barack Obama “won it” based on a whole bunch of illegal donations from overseas.    He has contributors in his FEC filings named gibberish and DOODAD…and they’ve given him THOUSANDS.
No reporter is covering this…yet.  They’ll wait until he has the nomination, I guess.  And then it will be too late.  The Democrats will be once again saddled with the weaker candidate.

The nomination was Hillary’s to lose and she ran the worst possible campaign. She also ran as if she were McCain and was defeated. Hillary ran as Bubba’s third term.
Obama’s genius is as a grass-roots organizer. He motivates people, gets them to buy into his platform, gets them to open their wallets.
As a Senator, he will cast votes folks don’t care for. That is why only two Senators were elected President.
McCain’s only hope is to maintain the fear factor.

Hillary not only ran as Bubba’s third term (which many Democrats would have been happy with) but also ran a campaign which increasingly looked like a third term for Bush/Rove politics. That was unacceptable to many Democrats, and played perfectly into Obama’s strategy of campaigning as a candidate representing change from politics of the past.
