Where’s Sarah?

Here’s the line up for today’s interview shows: Barack Obama will be on This Week. John McCain will be on Face the Nation. Joe Biden will be on Meet the Press. Someone appears to be missing.

The Republicans are in no rush. Sarah Palin will not be interviewed until she is ready. Should McCain/Palin win the election, and should John McCain become incapacitated, presumably they will also hold off on having Palin take over until she is ready. No 3 a.m. phone calls for her until she is good and ready–unless someone needs an emergency ice fishing permit. She’s ready to handle that on day one.

This blog has tons of crazy stuff on Palin… http://liz-seattlespeak.blogspot.com

    SP says:

Bush became the President with 8 yrs of executive experience as the Governor of Texas. We all know being a governor doesnt automatically mean one is qualified to be a good President. Why isnt the Obama camp using this as an argument to get back on Palin mentioning her executive experience and bashing Obama’s?

    SP says:

5 yrs of governor, not 8 as in my previous comment..

    to continue…
They have no business whatsoever to mock Obama for his community and all the postive things he has done…they need to tune in again, and see what kind of a “negative” resume Bush came with….

     C in Yale
managed to enter national Guard with the lowest possible grade
    arrested for alcohol abuse

totally awful to mock someone for community organizing experience, and the tons of positive things Obama has done for communities in need…I think the Obama camp needs to take on the experience issue aggressively and highlight Bush’s “negative” experiences as relevant to the campaign…

Ron, I don’t know if you have the ability to embed things into your blog, but http://www.jedreport.com has a countdown clock:

The Sarah Palin No Comment Watch
    Still no interview.
    Still not ready.

I have seen it on the site but I didn’t see the actual code for embedding.

Here’s an update from ABC (who knows if it will actually happen, though):
“A McCain-Palin adviser says an interview was offered to ABC’s Charlie Gibson several days ago and that they expect it to happen in the latter part of the week in Alaska. Palin is the governor of Alaska and is expected to return home at midweek after more joint appearances with McCain.”

Does anyone have a thorough list of Palin’s known positions on various issues?  There seems to be some confusion as to a few of them and I’d like a reality-based list if possible.

Jed is encouraging everyone to put it on their website,  I’ve already seen it all over.

    Thanks. I’ve added the widget.

So far there is one minor problem. Several blank lines are added below the box. For now I moved it down to the bottom of the left side so the blank lines are not apparent and when I have more time I’ll look at the actual code to see if I can figure out how to remove the extra lines.

    Jerry,

I’m not sure if there are any complete lists but there is plenty of information out there to  find past stated positions taken by Palin.

There might be two reasons for the confusion. First, the positions she has taken in public statements has often conflicted with what she has done in office. Secondly, she refuses interviews which might clarify her positions.

Any particular positions you were interested in more information about?

    Ron Chusid says:

Now that I got the widget I decided to take it down in light of Palin’s agreement to be interviewed by Charles Gibson. The matter is no longer as significant.

There are basically four categories of problems with Palin–her extremist views (along with her association with far right groups and the extremist views of her pastors assuming she does not disassociate herself from them as Obama disassociated himself from Wright’s views), her dishonesty, her record in office, and her lack of experience with national/international issues.

Her delay in being interviewed is related to the final problem, but I would prefer to concentrate on these actual problems as opposed to appearing to concentrate on the delay in having an interview by making this widget prominent on the blog.

Even CNN seemed to have caught onto the delay for a Palin interview today. Too bad it didn’t play out a bit longer, guess she was able to cram enough for a Gibson interview in a week. I’m assuming he had to agree not to ask any tough questions like the pre 2000 Bush interview:

Or anything about evolution, global warming or book burning.
