It really is hilariousness that conservatives will make such a big deal over the occasional gaffe by Obama after backing Bush. In this day and age where everything said in politic is recorded and analyzed in detail every politician is going to make gaffes, but it is rare to see them on the level of George Bush who had difficulty putting together a coherent sentence.

It is also absurd that conservatives think they can get any political millage out of such things. They concentrate on such gaffes while ignoring the issues. Voters have caught on to their politics of personal destruction and by 2006 realized it was more important to vote based upon who made the most sense on the issues, not based upon the latest right wing attack.

I will say one thing.. President Obama sure can speak.. Articulate, yet not too quick to use words that the average american might not understand (but also not talking down to the public as if we are 12 year olds *coughBOBBYJINDAL*). One of my favorite things to do is to bring up two videos, side by side, one of Obama speaking and one of Bush speaking .. then watch a minute of each, to at which point I promise you will not stop laughing..

[...] Liberal Values Barack Obama is now the first president to appear on one of the late night comedy shows while in office. The Caucus has a good summary of his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Of course if you read the right wing blogs I predict that the only portion you will read much about is the gaffe in which Obama compares his bowling to the Special Olympics, getting far more attention than matters of substance on the economy. With all their complaints about “political correctness” we all know that it is the right wingers who dwell far more on this type of thing as they thrive on personal attacks as opposed to consideration of issues.
