There was no new political situation. This is just another typical Republican smear tactic and attempt to distract from the actual issues. The Republicans would like you to think that since Palin tells a lipstick joke any reference to lipstick must be to her, which is nonsense.

There are major differences between the two candidates. The lipstick nonsense from McCain is a poor way to choose between the two.

    THE AMERICAN ELECTORAL SYSTEM IS THE RESULT OF A LONG EVOLUTION. IT IS A VETTING PROCESS BY WHICH, WE, AS VOTERS ARE ABLE TO DISCERN BASIC CHARACTERISTICS ABOUT THE PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES.
    IN MY OPINION, BOTH CANDIDATES ARE EMINENTLY QUALIFIED TO BE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. VERY FEW INHERANT DIFFERENCES, HOWEVER, HAVE COME TO LIGHT THUS FAR IN THE PROCESS.
                     UNTIL LIPSTICKGATE.
    ANY MISTAKE, ANY AT ALL; ANY LAPSE IN JUDGEMENT, HOWEVER TEMPORARY, IS THERE FOR EVERYONE TO CONSIDER.
     BARACK OBAMA HAS BEEN USING THE ‘LIPSTICK-ON-A-PIG’ ANALOGY THROUGHOUT HIS CAMPAIGN, YET, FAILED TO RECOGNIZE A NEW POLITICAL SITUATION.

McCain has proven time and again that his strategy for winning depends on personal attacks and distracting people from the main issues… i just hope people aren’t as gullible as he seems to think they are
