Besides Reagan, there's Schwarzenegger, who never would have been elected if he was't a Hollywood celebrity. Fred Thompson would never have been taken seriously as a candidate if he wasn't a Hollywood celebrity (not that he managed to capitalize on for this election). It's ironic that there's an old article out there that McCain's staff did not see prior to comparing Obama to Paris Hilton.  ...
