I never have taken Republican attacks on Hollywood very seriously. Besides Reagan, there's Schwarzenegger, who never would have been elected if he was't a Hollywood celebrity. Fred Thompson would never have been taken seriously as a candidate if he wasn't a Hollywood celebrity (not that he managed to capitalize on for this election).

Does McCain's staff recall that Ronald Reagan was a true Hollywood celebrity, prior to becoming a US President? Isn't it sort of stupid or desperate for McCain's staff to make such a comparison of Obama and celebrities?
It's ironic that there's an old article out there that McCain's staff did not see prior to comparing Obama to Paris Hilton. ... "John McCain is truly the Paris Hilton of politics," ...."The husband of a beer heiress has displaced the daughter of a hotel magnate as the new grand champion of simultaneously ignoring and insulting working people." (do a web search on "McCain and Paris Hilton", article will be found at Buzzflash.com)
