Now I begin to see. We are dealing with someone who can’t take good news. It’s good news that the Iraqi government is stepping up. They finally are doing it themselves, but that doesn’t mean that Obama and others were wrong in attempting to push them to go faster (than, at the time, was a snail’s pace).
Now that everyone – including Bush! – is on board with the time table (er… horizon), Obama’s looking prescient all over again!
If John McCain isn’t careful, he’s going to start sounding silly. “I know how to win wars,” he says. How about not getting into them in the first place? D’ya know how to do that?
