[...] Clinton has some experience during the past thirty-five years but it is hardly sufficient to consider her more qualified to be president. Often the experience consisted of assignment to part times posts while she was primarily working in corporate law. This included sitting on the board of Wal-Mart as they fought unions. Her years as first lady are of some value, but again are hardly sufficient to qualify her to be president. I’ve previously noted reports that Clinton did not have national security clearance as first lady. Her major action as first lady was on health care, which didn’t turn out very well. In contrast, Obama was successful in his efforts at expanding health care in Illinois. It is also notable that, although she is running on her experience, she is keeping the records from her years as first lady secret until after the election. [...]

[...] One defense of Obama’s health care plan came from former Clintonite Robert Reich, which I quoted here. Others such as The New York Times are quoted here. I used ideas used by the Medicare program to provide an example of how Obama’s plan could work without a mandate back in December. Obama made a similar argument later in the month. Obama’s success in achieving health reform in the Illinois legislature was discussed here.
<p>[...] I’ve had multiple posts critical of the recent meme in the blogosphere (and at least one columnist) that Obama wouldn’t make an effective president because he wouldn’t fight as John Edwards would. Charles Peters provides yet more evidence that this is nonsense in a column reviewing Obama’s achievements in the Illinois legislature. He concentrates on one example: Consider a bill into which Obama clearly put his heart and soul. The problem he wanted to address was that too many confessions, rather than being voluntary, were coerced — by beating the daylights out of the accused. [...]

[...] Supporters of Edwards have picked up on this meme in the blogosphere, and Paul Krugman has repeatedly criticized Obama for being willing to negotiate with insurance companies, and for “his reluctance to stake out a clearly partisan position.” [...]

Krugman may be an Edwards supporter but, he sure is acting like a Hillarylander.
I think Krugman is suffering from 2 different things.
One is his support of Edwards, and because Edwards is trailing a bit behind, he feels the need to lash out against Obama.
Usually I find Edwards supporters to be good people but, Krugman is not acting like most of his supporters.

Two is that many in blogs have elivated Krugman to god of the progressives status and because of this, may have messed with his ego. He feels the need to carry their water and prove he is worthy. Afterall, he may feel, for a member of the traditional media to be so stoked up like this, it would skew his ego management.

Either after the next month and depending on where Edwards is and/or if Krugman makes a mistake and gets trashed for it on the blogs, he will find himself again.
