Crooked Hillary vs. The Sociopath

Trump Stupid or Offensive

In a normal presidential election, this could be a very bad day for Hillary Clinton. The Hill reports on yet more questionable activity involving the State Department and the Clinton Foundation:

Shortly after Hillary Clinton took the reins as U.S. secretary of State in 2009, a longtime confidante with deep ties to the Clinton Foundation pressed her senior aides to give a job to an unidentified male associate.

“Important to take care of” the person, Douglas Band told Clinton aides Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills and Nora Toiv in an April 22, 2009, email with the subject line “A favor…”. The name of the aide is redacted.

“We have all had him on our radar,” Abedin responded. “Personnel has been sending him options.”

The exchange, which was obtained by conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch under a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit and released on Tuesday, adds to the murky connections between Clinton’s role leading the State Department, her family foundation and a consulting firm for which Abedin worked part-time.

Band previously served as an aide to former President Bill Clinton and has performed multiple duties for the Clinton Foundation. He is also a founding partner and president of Teneo Holdings, the consulting firm.

The firm, and Abedin’s ability to work simultaneously for it and the State Department, have drawn ire from some conservative corners, where critics have railed about conflicts of interest and warned that officials outside of the government had undue influence on U.S. diplomacy.

This is not the first report of those with Clinton connections getting jobs. Email released in June revealed that a Clinton Foundation donor received a spot a on sensitive government intelligence advisory board despite lack of any qualification.

However, this is just another day in this campaign in which the news will again be unfavorable for Donald Trump in light of something incredibly stupid he has said:

“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment,” Trump said to boos from the crowd.

“By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks,” he then added.

“Though the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know.”

Donald loses again. No matter how unpopular Clinton might be, joking about the assassination of a future president is just a no win  plan. Sort of like trying to claim he has sacrificed more than the Khan family. We couldn’t have found a worse pair of people to be running for president.

Update: More information in The New York Times.

The documents raised new questions about whether the charitable foundation worked to reward its donors with access and influence at the State Department, a charge that Mrs. Clinton has faced in the past and has always denied.

In one email exchange, for instance, an executive at the Clinton Foundation in 2009 sought to put a billionaire donor in touch with the United States ambassador to Lebanon because of the donor’s interests there…

In April 2009, Douglas J. Band, who led the foundation’s Clinton Global Initiative, emailed Ms. Abedin and Cheryl D. Mills, another top adviser to Mrs. Clinton, for help with a donor.

Mr. Band wrote that he needed to connect Gilbert Chagoury, a Lebanese-Nigerian billionaire who was one of the foundation’s top donors, with someone at the State Department to talk about his interests in Lebanon.

Gilbert Chagoury was the subject of a report on Frontline report entitled: Chasing the Ghosts of a Corrupt Regime–Gilbert Chagoury, Clinton donor and diplomat with a checkered past.

To start with, the " Foundation donor" you refer to was actually described as a valuable and informed asset who was more than appropriate for the position he was given.

However, facts mean nothing to you, so I don't expect you'll follow up on, or even acknowledge, the truth of that statement.

This piece is idiotic. It is an example of why "progressives" never accomplish shit.

"Purity of Essence" = "Peace on Earth" = "Joe for King." If you understand that reference, then you might consider just what an idiot you are.

Eat your own. Leave the job of governing to those who actually have some skill at it. Oh, and by the way, Bernie ain't on the ballot anymore. Wanna be part of the solution, or part of the problem?

    Yeah, I thought so.

Facts? I am presenting the facts here. You are once again making things up. Your usual use of ad hominem attacks also does not cover up the fact that you are uninformed and dishonest.

You have no source to prove that the person was a valuable and informed asset as the name was redacted. Having no facts doesn’t stop you from making a claim such as this. We already do know of two people who received such preferential treatment. One was clearly unqualified (per link in post). The other, Gilbert Chagoury, was once convicted in a money laundering scheme.

You also ignore the fact that it doesn’t matter if the person was qualified as this is a matter of ethics. Not only were these actions unethical, but they were also a direct violation of the ethics agreement which Hillary Clinton entered into before she was confirmed as Secretary of State. Of course we’ve known for a long time that she paid no attention to the agreement once she became Secretary of State.

Eat your own? A corrupt warmonger like Clinton, who has spent her career undermining liberal causes, is not one of my own. Clinton is on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

Leave governing to those who have some skill at it? That would exclude Clinton, who has been wrong on every major decision of her career. Then years later she will admit she made a mistake, and promptly show she hasn’t learned a thing.

In backing a warmonger like Clinton, and excusing her corruption, you are part of the problem. I am being part of the system in promoting liberal principles and exposing government corruption.

As this blog is devoted to presenting the facts (and not blindly following any political party) I have updated the post with a link about the type of corruption the Clinton donor which they assisted was engaged in.
