You ask: “Why is anyone still listening to these people?”

The answer is simple (and of course you already know it): None of them is black, Democratic, or named Obama.

But, Ray, I think they may have stopped listening to ‘Barry the Bore’, too, because according to a recent Quinnipiac poll he rates as the worst president since WW2:

“The Quinnipiac University’s latest presidential poll says that Barack Obama is the least favourite president since the Second World War. That’s right: he ranks beneath Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter and George W Bush. George W Bush. Those surveyed said that Mitt Romney might’ve done a better job if elected in 2012. Which means that Americans actually prefer terrible hypothetical presidents to the real one they’ve got now. They’re taking a second look at the devil they don’t know.”

Hardly meaningful considering that pretty much every president ranked this way at this point in their presidency, and then their popularity improved afterwards.

What is meaningful is that Obama called it right while all these Republicans got it wrong.

As much as I think Dick Cheney is an agent of Satan I must admit listening to William Kristol annoys me the most. Why the guy who has no military experience or foreign policy background, the guy who was,in the words of Lawrence O’Donnell, “hired to be Dan Quayle’ brain”, is being used to discuss anything of value on TV (foreign or domestic)is appalling to say the least.
