    As they try to protect their profits by censoring the Internet, Disney, Warner Bros, and the gang have launched a front group called “Creative America.” They just announced that 10,000 people have signed up over the last three months.

    Will you help us prove that most Americans stand with us — and against censorship — by helping us identify 10,000 new censorship opponents by 9:30 PT 10/08?

    We expect lawmakers in the House of Representatives to introduce their version of the PROTECT IP Act in a few weeks. The Senate’s version would allow the Department of Justice to force search engines, browsers, and service providers to block users’ access to websites that have been accused of facilitating intellectual property infringement — without even giving them a day in court.

    This act is EXTREMELY UNCONSTITUTIONAL!! Google “PROTECT IP Act” for proof.

    NET NEUTRALITY IS UNDER ATTACK, EMAIL YOUR SENATORS NOW: Big Telecom is ramming a resolution through the Senate to undermine existing Net Neutrality regulations and ban the FCC from enacting protections in the future. urge your Senators to stand strong.

    Net Neutrality will mean the end of free access to information. Only the BIG corporations will have their commercial networks flowing at the highest speeds available. Mom & pop’s web sites will be SO slow, people will be abandoning them & they will die. Unless you ONLY surf sites as big as Yahoo, Amazon, MSN, Google, etc, you owe it to yourself to fight for Net Neutrality. Google “Net Neutrality” if you need more info.

    PLUS, URGE YOUR LAWMAKERS TO PROTECT ONLINE PRIVACY: A new snooping bill FORCES Internet providers to track and retain customer info — including your name, address, phone number, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, and IP addresses.

    Remember Orwell’s “1984″. Well, this is Big Brother IN YOUR COMPUTER!! They already have too much access to your PRIVATE information, why voluntarily hand over MORE? We’re not ALL CRIMINALS! Remember “probable cause”? What ever happened to that!?
