Conservative Hit List

Conservapedia is down at the moment. I don’t know if it is a technical glitch or if they are closing up shop.  If by chance they were hacked as Liberal Values was earlier today I wish them well in fighting the hackers. On the other hand, if they decided that what they were writing was just to ridiculous to continue with, I fully agree. If the Secret Service shut them down for advocating assassination of Senators, they would have a strong case. Wonkette grabbed the screen above, which reads:

The Constitution provides that if a senator is unable to complete his or her term then the governor of the state will appoint a replacement Senator. Below is a list of Senate Democrats from States with Republican Governors. Currently the Democrats hold a 58 seat majority in the Senate. If these Senators were unable to complete their terms and were replaced by qualified Republicans by their Republican governors, the Republican Party would regain a commanding majority in the Senate sufficient to prevent Barack Hussein Obama from socializing medicine, nationalizing the financial and auto industries, and creating a socialist wealth redistribution scheme.

Their hit list follows.

Is this real or a parody?  We report, you decide.

The problem with conservative sites is that they write so many things which are off the wall that it is difficult to differentiate between real conservative writing and someone making fun of conservative writing. Tony Sidaway tries to sort it out. He earlier had arguments which seemed to show this was a real article, but has subsequently backed away from this.

Site Hacked

The blog was hacked this morning  causing visitors coming to the main page (but not individual posts) to see a page with an anti-America and anti-Isreal message. I’ve tracked the problem to the theme files. For the moment, until I have time to either fix the theme or install another, I have reverted to the basic WordPress theme. Many of the features normally present on the blog will temporarily be down until I have time to  work on this further.

Update: I have loaded another theme which I had downloaded in the past to at least restore much of the old function. Later I’ll decide upon adjusting this one further, reinstalling the old theme, or going to a new theme.

Update II: Fixed the theme and restored it for now.
