Best Blogging Job Ever

Urlesque has found the best blogging job ever:

Australia’s Queensland Tourist Board is using the strained world economy as part of a new campaign giving job-seekers the opportunity to live six months rent-free on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef and make $150,000! In addition to basking in the sun all day, the job requires that the “island caretaker” keep a blog of their stay.

“The successful candidate will be asked to keep a blog and photo diary in exchange for six months rent-free on Hamilton Island as part of a $150,000 salary package that includes return airfares and travel insurance.”

Obama To Take US To World Leadership In First Term

During the Democratic primaries, the Obama supporters were often described as the more affluent wine drinkers (with Obama later building a wine and beer coalition to take the nomination). Perhaps this is one result of the change in the country. Wine consumption is expected to increase, with the Unites States projected to surpass Italy as the world’s top consumer of wine during Obama’s first term.

Team Sarah vs. David Letterman

While Sarah Palin continues to attack the media and bloggers, her supporters at TeamSarah.org are trying to shut up one source of criticism which John McCain might have liked to see silenced during the campaign. Alaska Dispatch reports that TeamSarah is sending out this message:

Over 500 Team Sarah members protested to the FCC about Letterman’s unsavory comment about Gov. Palin. They are hearing from the FCC that it is launching an investigation!

This could be a bad move on their part. As Dave repeatedly reminded John McCain, the road to the White House goes through him! Considering how often David Letterman mocked Sarah Palin I can’t help wondering which of his jokes is being singled out as the “unsavory comment” being protested.
