Obama Sweeps Big Ten

NBC News has called Indiana for Barack Obama. Earlier he won Pennsylvania and Ohio, with the other states in the Big Ten region not being in question going into election day. This sweep of the Big Ten was predicted in the second Big Ten poll released in late October after the region was a toss up in the first Big Ten poll in September.

Obama dominated in the other conference which traditionally meets in the RoseĀ  Bowl. He probably would have sweeped the entire Pac Ten region as well as the Big Ten if not facing an opponent from Arizona. Obama kept it far closer in Arizona than expected a month ago, but McCain did manage to pull out a victory in his home state.
