Unfair treatment? Yes, stop all the talk about irrelevant topics like her daughter’s pregnancy. Get the media to concentrate on how unqualified she is to be VP and on how scary her views are.

Certainly stop all the untrue information being reported–there’s enough true material to concentrate on.

How ironic.  When Palin ran for Lt. Gov. in 2004, and again for Gov. in the GOP primary in 2006 she was tagged as a “libertarian” and “too moderate on social issues” by the old-line Murkoski crowd.  Now, here we are two years later and she’s being slammed as “Anti-Choice” and as a “Ssocial conservative.”

Notice how none of the Dem attack dogs have gone back to those two races to dig any of this up?  It would undercut their “Sarah Palin is an evil evangelical” argument.

She is in no way qualified for the position McCain has put her in.

    Eric,

The fact remains that she is anti-choice and a social conservative. The rest of your spin is irrelevant. She’s also so socially conservative that she tried to ban books which offended social conservatives. There’s nothing libertarian about Palin.

    Antibes says:

Get your facts straight.  Palin never tried to ban books from the Wasilla library. See Fact Check article:

McCain and Pail are not going to overturn Roe versus Wade.  A woman’s right to to choose is protected under the constitution and is used as a scare-tactic by the Democrats to frighten  women voters.

    Antibes,

You are the one that has the facts wrong.

Palin did try to ban books. The article you link to does not dispute that.

There was an internet hoax with a listing of books she allegedly banned. That list was a hoax, but the actual fact that she had attempted to ban books is well documented. Rather than books on the hoax list, she attempted to ban books which the religious right found offensive on homosexuality.

The right to an abortion is only implied from the Constitution by the ruling in Roe v. Wade. One more vote on the Supreme Court and this could be overturned and states will be able to outlaw abortion. This is not a scare tactic. This is fact.
