It’s very troubling how well the Palin’s attempt to get out from under this appears to be going.  I read today where one McCain spokesman called the Alaskan State Legislature Investigative Committee a “Now discredited kangaroo court”.  The “Trooper Wooten had it coming” stories are hitting the fan too.

Americans will blow off anyone’s civil rights but their own.

If I shoot my kid with a taser it would be child abuse.
    Why was he not charged?

Are you that misinformed about the facts or do you just enjoy engaging in the usual dishonest Republican smear tactics.

He did not shoot his kid with a taser. He demonstrated the taser to his son by hooking him up to it–with the power turned down so it couldn’t hurt him.

That still might be a stupid thing to do–and he was disciplined for it. Such discipline should come from normal channels within his department. For Sarah Palin to get involved, due to personal disputes with him, represents abuse of power. This is far worse than anything her former brother in law did.

Talk about being misinformed. There is no adjustment on a taser.

Yes, correction to above. The reports say he used small clips and turned it off after a second in order to minimize the risk of injury. I should have rechecked the actual reports of the incident rather than going by memory when commenting above. The key thing I recalled still stands–that this was done in a manner to minimize harm and that simple statements that he shot he son with a taser were highly misleading. It was still a stupid thing to do, but it doesn’t justify Palin’s abuse of power.

So Palin didnt make any huge mistakes in the first debate, I wonder if she had someone talking in her ear to coach her
