In his final game as Michigan football coach, Lloyd Carr surprised everyone and wound up being the one to bring the spread offense to Michigan. For the first time this season Carr had both Chad Henne and Mike Hart healthy and beat Florida 41 to 35 in the Capital One Bowl. Michigan showed what they could have done this year with a healthy team. Carr retires with a record of 103 wins and 36 losses. Carr has won five Big Ten titles and one National Championship.

Yes, I will root for them on Monday. If Michigan and Ohio State both win it will help the image of the Big Ten, which is not having a very good year.

My dad and grandfather both played football at Ohio state so i’m a buckeye. However, it was glad to see Lloyd go out a winner and frankly the Michigan performance today is what i expected out of them during the season.

Ohio State,on the other hand, i thought would have 3-4 losses this year. This is not a great Ohio state team. I’m not sure they have the horses to stay with LSU…

This is what we would have seen from Michigan if not for the injuries. If they had been healthy, at worst they would have been would be 10-2 in the regular season, which this season would have had them in the top ten.

I’m not sure how good Ohio State is. They played Michigan when injuries kept them from competing and lost to Illinois. Their schedule was otherwise pretty weak, making it easy for them to go without further loses. This makes me fear they aren’t as good as LSU, but it is also possible that we don’t know how good Ohio State is because they haven’t had the opportunity to play and beat many good teams. We will find out Monday.
