From the Boston Globe:
US Senator John F. Kerry endorsed US Senator Chris Dodd’s presidential campaign platform on energy, which has been viewed as the most liberal plan proposed. In order to reduce 80 percent of greenhouse gases by 2050, Dodd would enact a corporate carbon tax on businesses that pollute and would require that all cars get at least 50 miles per gallon by 2017. Former vice president Al Gore has also called Dodd’s plan “very creative.”
