Go Blue, Ohio

The Buckeyes might be starting out the football season ranked number one, but come November I’m hoping that we can paint Ohio blue in more ways than one. Rasmussen now has Democrat Ted Strickland leading Ken Blackwell 57% to 32%. Democrats also have hopes of picking up a handful of House seats as well as the Senate seat in Ohio if the anti-Republican sentiment persists.

Wow– this is great news! As long as the Ohio voters can get to the polls and their votes will be counted. .

The major problems with elections in states like Ohio isn’t fraud on electon day but institutionalized policies which suppress the Democratic vote and give the Republicans an edge. Deomcratic victories at the state level provide the best chance of changing these rules, as well as getting partisan Republicans out of positions of control over election procedures.
